BEHIND THE SCENES

​

​Andrea’s love of makeup started at an early age, often found colouring on other children’s faces with markers or raiding her mother’s makeup bag.

After studying Fine Arts at York University, she relocated to Vancouver to attend Makeup School.  Shortly before graduating at the top of her class, she landed a coveted apprenticeship at CBC Vancouver.  With her training completed, she chose to focus on Film & Television, becoming a member of IATSE.

In her more than 20+ year career, Andrea recieved the Leo Award for Best Makeup in a Dramatic Seriers and three additional Leo Award nominations for various  projects. Her sense of humour, creativity and attention to detail keep her in high demand among her celebrity clientele for photo shoots and their public appearances.

When not on set, Andrea teaches Makeup Fundamentals at Vancouver Film School, in 2015, she headed the Makeup Design Department for Shanghai University Vancouver Film School (SHVFS) in Shanghai, China. While there she consulted for a high profile cosmetics company to increase their presence in the Chinese market. Andrea also freelances for a large international cosmetic company.  On her downtime she can be found at the Pilates studio or planning her next trip abroad.
